Creation stays central
Collaboration should support the Scratch editor, not replace it with a second workflow.
PREVIOUSLY LIVESCRATCHCoBlocks is an independent open-source project making real-time collaboration feel native to Scratch.
Scratch already makes it possible to imagine, code, and share. CoBlocks focuses on the part that happens between creators: working on the same project while the idea is still taking shape.
The project was previously known as LiveScratch and is based on the open-source Blocklive project created by MeechaPooch and rgantzos. CoBlocks continues that direction with a refreshed extension, Scratch Auth, project chat, recovery behavior, and a new identity.
It is maintained by Waakul with contributions and feedback from its community.
Collaboration should support the Scratch editor, not replace it with a second workflow.
Network problems happen. Local recovery exists to make those moments less destructive.
The code, issue tracker, contribution path, and self-hosting configuration are available publicly.
Chat, shared blocks, and presence belong beside the project where collaborators need them.
CoBlocks is not affiliated with Scratch or the Scratch Foundation.
